YGESS is spelled like the famous female band AGES.

YGESS means Young Geodetic Engineering Student Society.

YGESS is the official organization of Geodetic Engineering students.

The BOT Resolution No. 96-08-17-04 series 1996 created a non-degree engineering program, the 3-year Associate in Geodetic Engineering.


In year (SY 1997-1998), all the students in the Associate in Geology, Associate in Mining Engineering and Associate in Metallurgical Engineering shifted to the Geodetic Engineering program because they foresaw the great demand for Geodetic Engineers in the Region.

In 2001-2002, the 5-year Bachelor of Science in Geodetic Engineering is finally offered in CEIT.


When ( AGE ) Asso. ln Geodetic Engineering becomes Bachelor of Science in Geodetic Engineering ( BSGE ) and being offered on 2001 the students wants to organize and participate in the upcoming LCO week.

YGESS (read as "a - jes", just like the name of the famous band) was established last July 19, 2002 wherein a general assembly of Geodetic Engineering Students in all levels was conducted and elected the officers with Engr. Gines P. Pagar as the founding adviser and Engr. Corsino Odtojan, as the assistant Dean, formally inducted them. YGESS is the first academic oeganization of the College of Engineering and Information Technology. The organization aimed to build competent individuals and eventually enhance profieciency by synthesizing programs that uphold technical and actual exposures.

YGESS, newly born academic organization of College of Engineering and Information Technology held thier acquaintance and induction party last July 25, 2002 at Agricultural Training Institute (ATI) now Department of Science and Technology (DOST) Regional Office.
